P&C Association

The P&C federation of Australia has deemed school based P&C associations to have the following objectives

  • Promote the interests of the school by bring parents, citizens, pupils and teaching staff into close co-operation
  • Assist in providing equipment to the school

Schools and students thrive when parents contribute their time to school programs. Research has shown that schools where there is an active culture of parents volunteering have better academic results and the students are more connected to their learning environment

The P&C exists to partner the school and add value to the educational experience of our children. We cannot do this without the support, assistance and dedication of our school's families and we encourage and welcome any level of involvement and participation from all members of our school community.

If you are able to assist in any way with any P&C activities or events, please contact us to register your interest.

The P&C's contributions to the school include:

  • operating the Canteen
  • operating the Uniform Shop
  • working bees to maintain the gardens
  • organising school discos and special events
  • offering financial support and contribution where appropriate

In the last few years the P&C have provided a new shade over the Pre School sandpit, contributed to the replacement cost of the smart boards, subsidise the cost of the school camp each year and we are always seeking out suitable grant opportunities, the most recent being for shelter on the oval.

P&C Meetings

The P&C meet Monday of Week 3 & Week 8 each term, at 7:00pm in the Library.

We welcome the attendance of all parents, carers and community members. P&C meetings are a forum for information from the Principal about the happenings at school, we regularly have a Teacher guest speaker who talks about new initiatives in learning and reporting or changes to the syllabus.

All ideas on fundraising and social activities for the school are welcome.
